Broadcast on TV Tokyo yesterday evening, SCANDAL were guests on the Japanese show “Sakiyomijan BANG!”. The girls come in at around 0:55 onwards. Below is a summary of part 1 of the show. Pardon me for the lack of details now:
This episode of Sakiyomi is a big “BLEACH” special. As SCANDAL’s latest single is also the OP for the anime, the girls take on a “Bleach” quiz when one of the hosts question their love for the manga series. Midway through the quiz, the SCANDAL members are asked on which Bleach character is their favourite as well.
Haruna: Histugaya (Toshiro)-san. He doesn’t speak a lot, which makes him look cool.
Tomomi: I like Urahara Kisuke. I really like people that are mysterious.
Mami: I liked Ichimaru Gin…it’s not because he doesn’t say that much but because he gives off a sense of confidence which I think is really cool.
Host: Everyone seems to like characters that sort of have a ‘shadow’ looming over them I see.
Rina: My favourite is definitely Ichigo (Kurosaki)…because I tend to like all the main characters. (I LOL-ed here.)
SCANDAL wins the quiz in the end by being the first to hit 3 points. Then, the girls are interviewed on their latest single, which is said to be a meaningful song but with a sort-of ‘dark’ feel to it. (Following on by a little more HARUKAZE talk.) SCANDAL is then asked to touch on their Kansai-bens as well, and when asked which Bleach character SCANDAL will be, Mami asnwers Rukia (Kikuchi) b/c she’s a very strong female character. Following on is a lot more Bleach talk.

Fortune Arterial does have a plot, but
unsurprisingly it's about as predictable as the sunrise for anyone who's
ever watched a harem based show. The storyline is laid out in the
typrical fashion of boy meets girl (or in this case, vampire), upon
entering the school, then meets his long lost childhood friend(s) (also
girls), then some other girl(s), etc. All the while some mysterious
force keeps pushing the boy and the first female (let's call her Girl A
since I can't be bothered remembering her name), together.
The problem with Fortune Arterial is actually twofold where the story is
concerned, the primary one being that the show follows the harem format
almost to the letter, with little in the way of innovation or
deviation. There is never any assumption that the viewer is intelligent
enough for deductive reasoning, and the only thing expected of them is
to sit there, look at the pretty anime girls, and buy the merchandise
afterwards.
The second problem is the fact the series is based on an adult visual
novel, and they're not really the best choice when it comes to deep,
well written storylines or nicely developed characters. In fact, they're
so far down on the list of possibilities that one has to wonder how the

Eureka Seven AO focuses too much on the action. In the previous series, there was drama and love. I know most of you will think to yourself "mecha animes aren't suppose to have any drama or love, just action" but the drama in Eureka Seven was what made the series. It made you love the two main characters, Renton and Eureka. But in Astral Ocean, you don't have the same connection with Ao.
The story of the show is still strong, it's very mysterious. There are new entities called Secrets attacking the unnatural beings known as Scub Corals. There is a man named "Truth" who is trying to reveal the truth to the world (sorry if that sounded repetitive) and he is the shows main antagonist. There is Naru who was Ao's best friend who decided to go total whack on Ao one day and follow the main bad guy. And there is the mystery behind of "what happened to Eureka and Renton?"

Eureka Seven AO focuses too much on the action. In the previous series, there was drama and love. I know most of you will think to yourself "mecha animes aren't suppose to have any drama or love, just action" but the drama in Eureka Seven was what made the series. It made you love the two main characters, Renton and Eureka. But in Astral Ocean, you don't have the same connection with Ao.
The story of the show is still strong, it's very mysterious. There are new entities called Secrets attacking the unnatural beings known as Scub Corals. There is a man named "Truth" who is trying to reveal the truth to the world (sorry if that sounded repetitive) and he is the shows main antagonist. There is Naru who was Ao's best friend who decided to go total whack on Ao one day and follow the main bad guy. And there is the mystery behind of "what happened to Eureka and Renton?"

It will air on Japan's Bandai Channel this December 23, 2011 and on January 1, 2012 on BS11 and on January 3, 2012 on Tokyo MX. Three Blu-ray Boxes will ship in 2012_ on March 23, June 22, and September 21, respectively. The limited edition of the first box will cost 21,000 yen (about US$269) and will contain about 288 minutes (plus 2 minutes of bonus extras) in 1080 progressive resolution.
Bonuses will include an exclusive booklet, the creditless opening and ending animation footage, audio commentary for one episode per disc, and an exclusive box.
